Prayer for Selfless Love

Self-Giving Savior,

You demonstrated the ultimate love by laying down Your life for us. Help me to love with that same selfless, sacrificial love. Teach me to put others' needs before my own, to serve without expectation of reward, and to give without counting the cost.

Remove selfishness from my heart and replace it with generosity. Help me to love not for what I can get, but for what I can give.

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." - 1 John 3:16
